What does a Promotions Coordinator do?

A PROMOTIONS COORDINATOR is focused on making connections and building relationships with platforms, people and organizations to maximize a show’s reach beyond paid media. They can be found at an agency within the Marketing department, working under the MARKETING DIRECTOR or in the Partnerships Department working under the DIRECTOR OF PARTNERSHIPS/PROMOTIONS. The day-to-day tasks of a PROMOTIONS COORDINATOR include creating and implementing a strategy for barter advertising, setting up promotional partnerships, handling grassroots marketing efforts, maintaining ongoing correspondence with GROUP SALES MANAGERS, and organizing special events, both within the theatre and with outside partners.
