How to become a Synthesizer Programmer

How to become a Synthesizer Programmer

One common path to becoming a synthesizer programming involves working as an assistant to an established programmer already working in the industry. From this position, the aspiring programmer can learn the industry, make valuable contacts, and find their own workflow.  Another path is for someone who is a keyboardist or music director to begin programming their own shows at the regional level and to bring that skillset with them as their career evolves. Programming shows they’re already working on can be a way to get a foot in the door and to begin to become known as someone capable of functioning in this role.
